"Yes." Rowanblaze answered as he started to apply the cobweb, "But only get the biggest wounds. We'll get the rest back at camp."
"I'm fine." Smokesong growled. He turned his head away when his sister swiped at him with her paw and exclaimed, "No, you're not!"
Brokensoul laughed, "Well, I'm proud of you anyway. Foxstar is too, I heard her say it."

Briarpaw shook her head, "Why run the risk of infection? We'll need warriors to fight against these rogues..." she said as she chewed up some more of the marigold and found where the gashes were the deepest before gently pressing the herb juices onto the wound. After spreading it out a bit she snatched up a bit of cobwebs and pressed them firmly over the worst of the wounds. "There... I think that's good enough."
"Really?" Sparrowsong mewed, not masking the shock in her voice. She hardly believed that her existence was even acknowledged.

Smokesong's tail lashed back and forth in agitation, but he wasn't going to argue with a medicine cat. He knew better.
Brokensoul nodded his head. He really wished Sparrowsong had more self confidence, and hopefully hearing that would help her.
"Good, Let's go." Smokesong said, standing up. Lightbreeze and Brokensoul moved to take Gingerclaw's body once again, and away they went.

Briarpaw picked up the remaining herbs and followed after all of the cats, looking around in case rogues were still about.
Sparrowsong followed after the cats, and tried to match her pace with Brokensoul's. She liked being near him. It gave her a confidence boost.

During the trip, Brokensoul had noticed Sparrowsong had kept pace with him. It felt good, knowing that she could be there next to him without a problem. And it wasn't even full moon! They were Clanmates now, but Brokensoul knew he would always miss ShadowClan.
