i'm a scatman?
Larkstar leaped onto the highwhateveritwas and called out the familiar words to summon her Clan together. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath thehighwhateveritis for a Clan meeting." she called out and waited for the cats to gather.
Ivyshine stepped out of the nursery, sitting just outside of it to make sure her kits wouldn't try to flee the nursery. Snowprint's kits were being apprenticed today, so Mistkit, Volekit and Mosskit were in there too, hopefully they were all being kept amused by each other.
Minnowcloud emerged from the warriors den at the call for the Clan meeting. She searched for her sister, and eventually saw Ivyshine sitting outside the nursery. She made her way over to the she-cat and sat down next to her and looking up at the highwhateveritwas.
Snowprint was under the highwhateveritwas with her two kits on either side of her. She had made sure to groom their coats to perfection for this day. She was almost heartbroken having to see her kits leave the nursery. She needed more.
Mintkit was sitting up, feeling on top of the world. She was going to be an apprentice today! She looked around at all of the cats from her Clan. She wondered which one she would have the honor of being mentored by!
Wolfkit felt excited. He was going to become an apprentice today! But unlike his sister who was nearly bouncing with excitement, he remained calm. If he was going to leave his kit life behind and become an apprentice, training to be a warrior, he'd might as well act like an apprentice rather than a kit!

Ivystalker and Pebblestream sat up from where they were sharing tongues to look at the Highrock (that what it was in the old forest, so yeah?) where Larkstar sat. Ivystalker secretly hoped he would be able to mentor one of the kits. Even though he was a deputy, he still enjoyed watching over the apprentices. He glanced sideways at his sister, seeing her swelling belly. He wouldn't mind mentoring one of his sister's kits either.
Dappledance and Reedwhisker both climbed out of the warriors den. They were having themselves a nice nap after being on the dawn patrol, but neither minded waking up for this ceremony. "I love new apprentices and warriors!" Reedwhisker purred to her friend, "These ceremonies are always so much fun. And I love seeing how the kits have changed over time." Dappledance responded, "I like kits, but once they get older I start losing interest. They just get bossy."
Coldpaw climbed out of the apprentices den in enough time to hear Dappledance's words. "Hey!" he hissed at the tortoise shell. (Look! He's in the right Clan!)
Ripplestream walked over to Snowprint. He purred, "Your kits are looking very nice. You must be proud to see them become apprentices."
Volekit was staring out of the nursery. He saw Ripplestream walk ibnto the clearing and mewed, "Ivyshine! Can we go sit by Ripplestream? Please, please, please!"

"No, stay in the nursery. This meeting won't take long. You can see him then." Ivyshine told the kits. "You can listen from in there, but me and Willowcloud will be watching!" she mewed, before looking back up at the leader.
Once the cats were gathered beneath her, Larkstar started. "Wolfkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed." she started, looking at the tom, "From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Wolfpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." she said, and then looked over the Clan. "Reedwhisker. You are ready to take on an apprentice. You will mentor Wolfpaw, until he is ready to become a warrior. I expect you will train him to the best of your extent."

"Aww!" both Volekit and Mosskit complained. Mistkit was upset too, but she wasn't as loud as her siblings.
Reedwhisker nodded her head and purred, "I will, Larkstar. Thank you."
She left Dappledance and Coldpaw behind to step forward and touch noses with the young tom.

Larkstar nodded her lessimportantthanFoxstar head "Mintkit," she started, turning her attention to Wolfkit's sister, "you have also reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mintpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." she mewed, "Ivystalker. You will be Mintpaw's mentor. I expect you too will train her to the best of your extent."

"Yes, Larkstar." Ivystalker said to his less important than Foxstar leader.
The tom left his sister and stepped to touch noses with his new apprentice.
The RiverClan cats behind him roared, "Mintpaw! Wolfpaw! Mintpaw! Wolfpaw!"
Volekit took this chance to sun out of the nursery. He had forgotten about Ripplestream and now wanted to see his old friend, his adopted siblings, who were now becoming apprentices.
Mosskit and Mistkit followed after their brother.

Ivyshine followed after the kits. She had been keeping a very close eye on them, figuring they'd try to escape at this point. She followed them over to Wolfpaw and Mintpaw, but didn't take them back to the nursery just at that moment.
Once the cries from the Clan had ceased, Snowprint noticed Volekit, Mistkit and Mosskit out of the nursery. At least she had these kits to take care of still. But it wasn't exactly the same as having her own kits, though she loved these ones just as much. "Volekit! Mistkit! Mosskit! Alright it's back to the nursery for us, come on." she said trying to usher them with her tail.

"No! I want to see Wolfpaw and Mintpaw!" Volekit complained. "Yeah!" Mosskit added.
Ripplestream walked up to Snowprint and the three kits.
"Now, listen to Snowprint." the golden tom scolded.
Mistkit muttered, "Yes, Ripplestream," and headed back toward the nursery. Her two siblings ended up following her, but at a much slower pace, as if they were about to run away suddenly.
Ripplestream smiled at Snowprint, happy to help. After all, they were his kits she was taking care of. He hoped no other cat was aware of that though. Even the kits didn't know that he was their father. None of them had inherited his golden tabby pelt.

"Thank you," Snowprint nodded to Ripplestream. She had been taking care of kits for moons now, and sometimes she just didn't want to argue with them. She loved them all the same though! And she loved taking care of them.
Ivyshine followed the kits back to the nursery, and slipped in after all of them. Her own kits had stayed in the nursery. THEY WERE GOOD KITS.

"Of course," Ripplestream mewed, "I love kits. I feel bad for queens that have to take care of them all the time though. Besides, those three aren't even your kits. I'm the one who found them out in our territory, I suppose I should also be the one to make sure they don't cause trouble."
Pebblestream saw Ivyshine walk back inbto the nursery, so she followed the queen. She curled up in her nest and closed her eyes, then jumped up when she was trampled on by Snowprint's adopted kits. "Be good!" she cried.

"I love kits too. That's why I try to have as much patience as possible with them..." Snowprint shared. She hated having to scold her kits and they often tired her out but she totally thought it was worth it in the long run when they were being good.

Ripplestream laughed, "Well let me know, and I'll take them off your hands once in a while so you can have a break."
Volekit, Mosskit, and Mistkit ran away from Pebblestream, scared for their lives. They tumbled over Rainkit and Stonekit to kit to the far side of the Nursery.

"Hey!" Rainkit squeaked, as he was stepped over. "I was sleeping! Could you watch out?" he mewed before curling back up and going to sleep again. Stonekit looked at her brother. He was a crankypuss today.
"No, no it's fine. I love having kits, like I said. I actually want more, now that Mintpaw and Wolfpaw will be moving into the apprentices den..." Snowprint shared with Ripplestream.

Pebbleheart mewed grumpily, "Get outside you three! Play nicely out there instead of annoying us in here!"
The three kits ran out the den and over to Ripplestream and Snowprint.
"Pebblestream is being mean!" Mosskit complained loudly.
"Well what were you doing to annoy her?" Ripplestream asked.
The three kits looked down at their paws, but said nothing.

Snowprint let out a small MRROW of laughter at the three kits. "Pebblestream needs to take it easy. If she doesn't, it could be bad for her kits." she mewed, "You wouldn't want something to happen to her kits, would you?"
