The moon was shining brightly in the sky. It was only a day after the gathering, where Cinderstar had threatened the other clans with her new rogue group.
Ripplestream was keeping guard at the camp entrance, protecting his mate and kits from anything that might happen.
When he heard a rustle in the bushes, he scented the air and caught a wiff of ShadowClan, and a mix of another, less familiar scent. Rogues.
"Attack!" Ripplestream yowled before a brown tom leapt on him.
The other ShadowClan warriors and rogues flooded into the camp.

Larkstar exploded from her den and into the clearing of the camp. An attack? Great! That's just what they needed. "Misteyes, guard the nursery! Reedwhisker, keep close by in case she needs help!" she called out, before she leaped into battle.
Misteyes quickly took her position in front of the nursery, baring her teeth at the ShadowClan cats that were all over the camp. She remembered ThunderClan and WindClan speaking of the rogues which had first stolen ThunderClan kits and then kicked WindClan out of their own territory. She fluffed up her fur and snarled ferociously hoping to intimidate any cats that came close to the nursery.

Reedwhisker went running to the Nursery to make sure Misteyes was alright. She seemed to be doing good. In fact, she was a little intimidating. Reedwhisker jumped on the nearest attacker, making sure they would never come to RiverClan again.
Coldpaw went running out of the apprentices den. He jumped into the nearest battle, calling to his fellow apprentices to follow him.
Cinderstar circled Larkstar as she battled with the leader of the rogues, a small silver tom with amber eyes. Of course, Cinderstar had no idea he was the rogue leader. When she saw the chance, she jumped onto the RiverClan leader and scratched her claws down the shecats sides. "Think twice before you blame ShadowClan for your petty problems!" she hissed.

"You are a fool! The rogues have it out for the Clan cat's, or are you too mouse brained to see?" Larkstar yowled, before letting herself go limp and falling to the ground in a heap. She ripped herself onto her side and clawed and Cinderstar before standing up on all fours again. "They wanted us to accuse and hate each other! And if you think they are just going to change their ways because you've captured them," Larkstar growled furiously before scoring her claws across Cinderstar's face, cutting deep, "well... I hope StarClan let's you see the error of your ways."
Mintpaw and Wolfpaw ran out of the apprentices den after Coldpaw, launching themselves into battle. They fought one cat at a time, side by side. They hadn't been training for too long and were still kind of small and not completely able to take on full grown warriors on their own.

"I have killed their leader, Larkstar! They are now mine to control!" Cinderstar hissed. She bowled into the RiverClan cat and knocked her over. She reached down and bit her shoulder, but suddenly let go and yowled in pain. There was a sharp pain coming from the back of her neck, then suddenly the shecat fell off of Larkstar and onto the ground in a heap.
Coldpaw sent the ShadowClan cat he and the other apprentices were fighting out of the camp. He turned just in time to see a silver rogue bite down into Cinderstar's neck fur. Concerned for his own leader, the white tom went running in that direction. He jumped on the rogue, and the two light colored cats were sent flying into the stream. With a loud splash, water went flying everywhere. This scared off all of the rogue cats, and about half af the ShadowClan cats.
Coldpaw was gripping on to the rogue in the water, but they were too close to the opposite shore. When the older tom made it to shore, he easily shook Coldpaw off of him. Coldpaw chased after the rogue as it disappeared into the reeds.

"I think not." Larkstar growled to Cinderstar before calling out to her own cats, "Dappledance, Lilystream, go after Coldpaw! Help him take down the rogue if you can!" she yowled and then leaped at the remaining ShadowClan cats. "Get out of RiverClan territory, now!" she yowled furiously, baring her teeth and unsheathing her claws which had Cinderstar's blood as well as several of the rogues and warriors of ShadowClan on the tips.
Lilystream ran after her apprentice, after watching the cat she had been fighting run off in fear of the splashing water(?). She wasn't waiting for Dappledance, because she figured that might just wait time and Dappledance could catch up eventually.

Dappledance went running after Lilystream and Coldpaw. She was worried for the young tom, going out chasing a rogue cat all by himself! The thought, unusual as it was for her, pushed her faster than ever, and soon she was keeping good pace with Lilystream.
A black and white tom, Bonestep, and a dark colored tabby, Nightstripe, remained standing in front of Larkstar. They both hissed at her, and Bonestep managed to spit, "We aren't leaving without Cinderstar. Step aside."

"I wouldn't dream of keeping her here. Your battle is lost-- take her and leave now." Larkstar snarled, stepping aside. As she spoke, Ivyshine (who had left the nursery to fight off the rogues and ShadowClan cats), Minnowcloud and Mintpaw gathered around Larkstar, all three of the she-cats holding defensive and hostile poses.
Lilystream raced after Coldpaw's scent, wondering how far the young tom and the rogue had made it. Her stomach knotted up as she thought about what might happen if they didn't get there in time. She tried to push herself faster, begging StarClan for the strength to keep going.

Nightstripe and Bonestep both gave menacing looks at the RIverClan cats before stepping forward to go to their leaders side. "This isn't over." Bonestep growled, and the two cats grabbed their leader and away the ShadowClan cats went.
Dappledance heard sudden yowls and snarls. When she stepped into the next clearing, she saw two bundles of white fur rolling around on the grass in a non sexual way.
Xemnas, seeing two more RiverClan cats, pushed Coldpaw with his back paws then got up and raced away.
Dappledance ran over to Coldpaw. "Are you alright?" she asked, unusually concerned.
Coldpaw just gave himself a little shake, then looked up to see his mentor and friend. "Lilystream!" he called, "How did I do? I tried as hard as I could to remember everything you taught me."

Lilystream nodded her head at the white tom, coming forward and giving him a lick on the head. "You were very brave. You did well, from what I can see. You left that cat with wounds that will assure he will not soon forget you." she mewed, her eyes bright with enthusiasm that she had trained this fine apprentice. She felt bad for Dappledance. "Don't you agree, Dappledance? He fought like a true warrior."

Dappledance quickly turned her head away from the other two cats. "Hmph, he could have caught the cat." she complained.
Coldpaw rolled his ice blue eyes at the tortoise shell, then turned back to Lilystream. "Will you tell Larkstar how great I did?" he asked.

"Of course. She already saw how persistently you chased your attacker, and how well you fought while you were still in camp. And the fuss you two made scared almost every attacker away!" Lilystream mewed, happily. "I'll make sure she knows though, that I think you're ready to be a warrior." Lilystream purred, proud for the young white tom.

Coldpaw jumped to his paws and let out a purr. "A warrior, really? Let's get back to camp then!"
The white tom went racing back toward camp.
Dappledance followed at a slower pace, calling, "You can't have your ceremony until sun high anyway, mouse-brain!"

Lilystream let out a MROWW of laughter and made her way back to camp after Dappledance and Coldpaw. She couldn't help the overwhelming feeling of excitement that she had trained this apprentice so well. She was proud.

The next day, as the sun was starting to sink in the sky, Coldpaw was running around the clearing, trying to calm his nerves. He would find out soon if Larkstar would make him a warrior!
A pretty, tortoise shell she-cat sat nearby, washing herself. When Coldpaw almost trampled her, she jumped to her paws and suggested, "Why don't you stop moving around so much? That is no way for a Warrior to act!"
Coldpaw glared at the she-cat and purred, "Yes, Dappledance."
Dappledance knew the tom was only moking him though.
Reedwhisker and Ripplestream both came out of the Warriors den to hear the two young cats bickering. "Don't blame him, Dappledance, he must be nervous!" RIpplestream laughed. "Excited too." Reedwhisker added, giving an encouraging smile to Coldpaw.
Dappledance just turned away from the older warriors.
