"Yeah..." Thorn agreed. The rest of the trip to the office was silent. When they got there, Thorn said, "Well I guess I'll wait here for you. Don't forget what you're going in there for, I don't want to come back!"

*time skip*
Victorique got the audio recorder and did the messagey thingy for Jagger. She hopped back into her car and looked at the Masako's address again. She had toyed around with the audio device so that she'd know how to use it when the time came. "Ready?" she asked putting the recorder in her pocket. She'd turn it on right before one of the Masako's answered the door so that they could have everything recorded.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go!" Thorn announced. He was rather excited to do some investigating. He skipped up to the Masako's door and knocked on the door. "Wow, this house is a dump." he commented before the door swung wide open. "Oh, not you again!" Blythe groaned when he saw Victorique at the door.

Victorique clicked the record button in her pocket and then took her hands out of it. "Yes, me again." she said. "You know, the sooner I get information, the sooner you'll stop having to deal with me." she said and pulled out a very legal looking document. "I have the right to interrogate you." she said.

Blythe glared at the two visitors, but he ended up sighing, "Come in, then." He walked into the living room and sat down on the couch once again. His son was sitting on the floor chewing on an apple slice. "What can I do for you?" Blythe asked.

Victorique entered the house again, for the second time of that day. She sat herself down on the same chair as last time. "That little argument that your wife had with her brother... about how long ago was that? And for how long did they not speak to each other?" Victorique asked, hoping that the microphone would pick everything up.

"Didn't I already tell you that?" Blythe responded, "It was after I lost my job! That was a few months ago. I don't remember exactly when."
Thorn had seated himself down in a chair and was staring around the room. The house looked awful, in his opinion, and it reminded him of his childhood home. Bad memories.

"How long did they not speak? Was it right up until Mr. Hall's death?" Victorique asked. She knew the answer to the first question, she just wanted everything to be recorded. But she had still needed an answer to the second question. She hadn't gotten that yet.

"Yes. Yes it was." Blythe answered.
"Wait, how did he die?" Thorn asked, getting into all of this like it was a movie.
Blythe narrowed his eyes at Thorn, but he answered, "Heart Attack. It was unexpected."

Victorique nodded her head, "Alright, alright..." she said and looked like she was deep in thought. "Well, how are you doing financially, right about now, Mr. Masako? After all, you said you were laid off, and your wife stays at home..." she said. Surely they wouldn't be able to live off of unemployment checks for a terribly long time. One of them had to be planning to get a job.

"That's none of your business." Blythe said defensively.
"Hey!" Thorn said, "Don't you remember, we have a right to ask you any question we want and to get that answer!"
Blythe was silent for a moment. He stared at Thorn, and eventually sighed, "We're not doing to well, alright? I've been laid off for half a year, and my last unemployment check was last month. We don't have enough money to pay the bills, we barely have any food, and we're going to lose the house. Plus, we have two young boys and a girl on the way. Happy?" He had obviously thought that Thorn was his older brother, the one who had came only yesterday to question them.

Victorique found it quite odd that they hadn't done anything about the situation. "Well aren't you going to look for another job?" she said, looking at the little boy eating apple slices on the floor. Or were you planning on getting money from somewhere else? Like perhaps Jared Hall's fortune! she thought to herself triumphantly. But she had kept her calm and collected look on while she waited for Blythe to answer.

"I've been looking for another job! No one will hire me anywhere. They say I don't have enough education or experience. We don't have enough money so I can go back to school. Kira refuses to get a job, because when I asked her to marry me I promised her she would never have to work a day in her life. She won't let me break that promise." Blythe explained. He seemed utterly frustrated with life at the moment.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures, right?" Victorique said, finding that kind of hard to believe. "If you were about to get kicked out of your house with two small boys and a girl on the way, I think anybody would let that kind of promise slip." she said, "You said she'd do anything for her family, before. So if her family was about to suffer a hard life on the streets, now you tell me she wouldn't let you break that promise? I find that hard to believe... so somewhere in this, there's a lie. Or maybe, the measures just aren't desperate enough? Expecting money from somewhere else?"

"What are you talking about? Are you saying my wife doesn't love her family? She's pregnant! You can't expect her to be out there trying to find a job!" he exploded. Blythe crossed his arms and looked up at the ceiling nervously. He was trying to hide his nerves, but these attorneys were bugging the crap out of him.
