"See you." Fawnstep mewed over her shoulder to Smokesong.

Sunblaze had just gotten back from a hunting patrol and had a hordeload (happy?) of prey in her jaws. She dropped it on the fresh kill pile before picking out her own piece to eat. "Oh, hi Smokesong!" she mewed when she recognized the tom.

[amaterasu]

"Hey Sunblaze." he mewed, almost not recognizing the she-cat. She was just a cat he didn't see everyday, and he never paid much attention to anything.
He picked up a mouse and mewed, "Want to eat with me?"

[J I N G O]

"Sure!" Sunblaze meowed, grasping a blackbird in her jaws. "Where would you like to eat?" she asked around a mouthful of feather's and bird-matter.

[amaterasu]

Bird matter.

Seeing his sister in the middle of the clearing, Smokesong mewed, "This way." and headed behind her so she wouldn't notice him. He ended up on the other side of the medicine cats den, hoping it wouldn't annoy the touchy medicine cat. Here he was out of sight.
He dropped his prey on the ground and sat down, taking a bite out of it.

[J I N G O]

"Why are we so... out of view?" Sunblaze asked, curiously tipping her head to one side before taking a bite of her blackbird.

[amaterasu]

"Lightbreeze." Smokesong said before taking another bite of food. He figured he should explain that a little better, so he added, "She's mad at me. She'll come over and yell if she sees me, so we're hiding from her."

[J I N G O]

"Oh, I see!" Sunblaze mewed taking another bite of her blackbird. "It looks like she was pretty distracted by Flameshadow though. You think there's something going on between them?" she wondered outloud.

[amaterasu]

"Flameshadow and Lightbreeze?" Smokesong asked out loud. He thought for a couple seconds, then said, "No, she wouldn't pick a mate without telling me. Besides, Flameshadow isn't good enough for her."

[J I N G O]

"I don't know, I think he's pretty cool." Sunblaze mewed, "Not my type, but I could see him and Lightbreeze together! Maybe she wants to tell you, but you're too busy avoiding her?" she suggested. It sounded mean but she meant well.

[amaterasu]

"Hey! I need a promise that she won't yell before I talk to her again!" Smokesong muttered. He wasn't mad at Sunblaze, he was mad at Lightbreeze. She wouldn't just go and chose a mate without telling him first, right?

[J I N G O]

Sunblaze shrugged. "My guess is the longer you avoid it, the worse it's going to be. Maybe I can talk to her, or something?" she suggested. She didn't know Lightbreeze terribly well, but they could talk without murdering each other, right?

[amaterasu]

"Hmm...that could work." Smokesong agreed, nodding his head.
He peered out from behind the medicine cat's den, but Lightbreeze wasn't in the middle of the clearing anymore.
"Where'd she go?" he asked.

[J I N G O]

Sunblaze looked out for Lightbreeze as well, but couldn't find her. "Oh well." she mewed and returned to her original spot, finishing up the rest of her fresh kill. "I'll talk to her next time I see her, if she hasn't gotten to you already." she meowed.

[amaterasu]

"Thanks." Smokesong mewed sarcastically.
He couldn't help but worry about his sister now though. He was angry, concerned, upset, and who knows what else.
His tail lashed back and forth in agitation as he ate his mouse.

"Calm down." Sunblaze said, taking notice of his anger and the rest of the emotions that were radiating off of him in waves. "It'll be fine."
