Cloudpool raced up to Foxstar's den and hollered, "Foxstar! Foxstar! Demyx is gone!" before running back down to alert the queens.
Foxstar emerged from her den quickly and importantly and leaped down. She made her way to the elders den at a fast pace and saw only Axel there. "Where is Demyx?"

[amaterasu]

Axel looked up for his nest to see a very important cat. He recognized her as Foxstar.

"Demyx?" he asked, "Oh, he went out."

[J I N G O]

"Went out where? And how? You two are not supposed to leave camp without at least two warriors accompanying you!" Foxstar's words rushed out. This was as close to panicking as she'd gotten in a long while.

[amaterasu]

"Hey, I didn't go anywhere!" Axel defended, "Not because you asked me too, of course, but because I'm more comfortable in this warm den."

He almost went back to sleep, but then he remembered the shecat's other questions.

"Well," he said at last, "He went that way. He thought I was sleeping. It didn't look too hard, all he did was climb out."

The tom pointed his redish tail to the other side of the den. There was a slight hole where Demyx had gone through.

"He went quite a while ago, so now it's getting cold. You should get someone to close that up." Axel grumped before closing his eyes again.

Foxstar exploded out of the den and called out, "Brokensoul, Littlepaw, Smokesong and Blazepaw, I need you to form one patrol!" THE CLAN ALREADY KNEW OF THE ISSUE BECAUSE CLOUDPOOL LET THEM KNOW, "I'll lead a second! "Ivorylight, Blackpaw and Gingerclaw you come with me!" and then RUSHED OUT OF CAMP.

Blackpaw and Gingerclaw went running after Foxstar, scared they would be left behind.

Brokensoul followed after Smokesong, who was leading the patrol. Smokesong was concerned that Demyx would bring back the rest of the rogues and kill off his kits.

Foxstar followed Demyx's scent right up to where the twolegplace was. "Fox dung! He could be anywhere in there." she hissed. Certainly the rogues wouldn't so quickly move back to there old hide out-- not when ThunderClan knew where it was.

[amaterasu]

"What will we do, Foxstar?" Gingerclaw asked. She remembered the battle that took place moons ago, the battle where she almost died. Sure, they had Foxstar with them now, but there were even less of them this time. They couldn't go in and fight them for sure.

[J I N G O]

Foxstar didn't like to admit defeat, but Willow liked to hurry things along. "Let him go. He's not even sure if the rest of the band really is at the twolegplace." she meowed, turning around. "If he finds them again, and tells them that ThunderClan has taken Axel in as a prisoner and they try and come for him-- well we'll deal with the entire group then and there."

[amaterasu]

Gingerclaw nodded her head and mewed, "That's a good plan, Foxstar."
She turned and headed back toward the camp.

Meanwhile at the camp, Smokesong and his party had already returned to camp. Axel was sitting outside of the elder's den, bathing in the sun and waiting to see what would happen.

"Smokesong, you and Ivorylight patch up the hole in the elders den. Put rocks in the hole and then cover the entire nest with another layer of brambles." Foxstar ordered. She wasn't going to risk having Axel get out the same way. But he could easily just tear it up and get out himself.
"Axel, you'll be sleeping in my den with a constant guard below the highledge from now on." she mewed.

Smokesong wandered over to find stones to put at the elders den. It seemed like a lot of effort when Axel wasn't even staying in there, especially when there was only two of them working on it. That's when he got an idea. "Blazepaw, get over here and help us." he commanded his apprentice.

Axel frowned slightly. He hoped it was warm in that cave. It looked kind of cold.

HER CAVE OF LOVE WAS SUPER WARM.

Blazepaw nodded and helped his mentor with the DEN CONSTRUCTION.

"There's nothing wrong with my den. It's actually quite nice in there." Foxstar mewed, watching Axel's expression change. "Applepaw! Go fetch some more moss for Axel's nest." she mewed turning and calling out to the she-cat.

Applepaw exploded out into the forest to fetch SOME MOSS.

That made Axel curious. But he didn't want to get up. The sun was nice, and he wasn't sure the Clan cats would let him out again once he went in the den.
Instead the tom rolled over onto his back. He watched the cats working, and idly wondered where the orange shecat that had guarded them the first day went. Dustcloud. That was her name.

Dustcloud exploded out of the nursery. She was getting plump.

Eventually, Applepaw came back with a bunch of moss. Littlepaw had helped her gather moss and bring it up to Foxstar's den. They pushed Foxstar's den forward a bit so it was closer to the mouth of the cave and made the second nest at the very back of the den.

Foxstar watched the two apprentices do there work and praised them when they'd finished, then told them to go get some fresh kill.
