Ivystalker passed away as Deputy in a border battle between RiverClan and ShadowClan. He was killed by Bonestep of ShadowClan as he was passed out, but he chose not to wake up when StarClan gave him the choice. Instead he saved his kits lives, which were unborn inside of Larkstar's belly.
