"Potential danger?" Ivystalker asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Yes," Oceanmask continued, "we have chased a fox off of our territory and it went into yours. We wanted your Clan to be safe. RiverClan and WindClan have no problem with each other, and we certainly wish no harm on you."

Ivystalker spit at the WindClan cats, "Well get away from our territory! Chasing foxes onto our territory, give us something to worry about."

He walked away muttering, his patrol following him.

[J I N G O]

"Well he certainly wasn't in a very good mood today..." Grasswhistle mewed, a little disappointed in Ivystalker for being such a bitch. He was just upset because his name made it sound like he watched ivy grow, making him amount to nothing like Bramblepile and Icepile.

[amaterasu]

Oceanmask laughed slightly and explained, "Ivystalker is never in a good mood. But I believe our duty here is over. RiverClan obviously has not crossed the border, and the fox is gone. Let's return to camp."

The deputy turned and headed back toward camp, Kestrelpaw following at her heels.

Grasstwhistle nodded again and followed Oceanmask back to the WindClan camp. He fought of a fox. He was so awesome. He'd have she-cats waiting to have his babies all over.

When they got back to camp, Kestrelpaw went scurrying away, screaming something about telling Wishingstar what happened.

Oceanmask looked over at Grasswhistle and smiled at him. "You saved my life today. Thank you." she mewed.

[J I N G O]

Grasswhistle didn't expect the random fact that he'd owned that fox today to come up again. "It was nothing." he said, with a small smile. Cat's don't smile. -cries-. He was glad he could SAVE HIS DEPUTY and future lover.

Cats grin! *reads Alice's Adventures in Wonderland*

"Well, it was something to me." Oceanmask argued, "It snuck up on us somehow, and it could have seriously hurt me if you hadn't attacked it."

[J I N G O]

Grasswhistle couldn't argue with that. "Well, I suppose so..." he meowed, giving in to the compliment. "But I'm sure any cat would have done the same."

[amaterasu]

Oceanmask laughed, "Sure, they would have. But not all cats could have reacted as fast as you did. When I join StarClan, Wishingstar will make a good choice in chosing you as his deputy."

[J I N G O]

Grasswhistle was pretty sure Oceanmask would make it to leader before she died. "No, no, I'm sure there are much better choices. And you're still young, Oceanmask! Don't talk like you're going to be joining StarClan anytime soon."

[amaterasu]

Oceanmask laughed, "That is true, I hope to be here for a long, long time. But you are a good cat, Grasswhistle, and I would surely chose you as my deputy."

She touched her nose to the toms muzzle, then wandered away to set up some more patrols.

[J I N G O]

Thistlewhisker had come back from a SOLO hunting patrol. He wasn't paying too much attention and accidentally bumped into the WindClan deputy, Oceanmask. "Oh!" he said and put down his prey. "Sorry, Oceanmask, I didn't see you there."

Oceanmask was just getting attacked left and right today!

"It's alright, Thistlewhisker." Oceanmask replied when she saw what cat ran into her.

She looked at his fresh-kill, then asked, "Did I send you on a hunting patrol?"

[J I N G O]

"No, you were out on the dawn patrol so I just decided to go out by myself. I figured it'd be okay..." Thistlewhisker trailed off, hoping that he wouldn't get SCOLDED for going out on a hunting adventure.

[amaterasu]

"Of course it's alright!" Oceanmask mewed quickly, "I just didn't remember sending you on a patrol, so I was wondering fi I could have forgotten."

She stopped talking, not sure what to say. For lack of conversation topics, she asked, "So, have you trained with Yewpaw recently? How is she doing?"
