Thistlewhisker nodded. "Yes, I was planning on taking her out hunting today." he informed the deputy, "She's doing just fine." as if Thistlewhisker knew. Well I guess he did. But Willow didn't.
random fact! the first time i tried to write "thistlewhisker" in this post i wrote Thistlepaw. the second time, i wrote Thistleclaw.

Oceanmask nodded her head and mewed, "Well, maybe I'll go with you, if you don't mind. I seem to have settled all of the patrols, and I'm always curious to see how the apprentices are doing."

Thistlewhisker nodded, eagerly. "Sure!" he mewed. Secretly, he had a mad crush on Oceanmask and wanted to have passionate sex with her on a beach.

Well. That was a little odd.
Oceanmask smiled at Thistlewhisker, glad to have something to do besides standing around and trying to be important like Foxstar.
Yewpaw came running over as she heard her name. "Are we going to train?" she asked.
Oceanmask nodded her head to the young she-cat. "I'm coming to watch," she added, "But don't be nervous!"
"I'm not!" the shecat announced, "I'm excited!"
Then Yewpaw bounced out of the camp, Oceanmask following her at a slower pace.

Thistlewhisker let out a little MRROW of laughter. Apprentices. They were like limitless pools of energy and awesome. He followed after his apprentice, nodding his brother a greeting as he exited the camp.

"What are we doing? Hunting?" Yewpaw asked. When Oceanmask nodded her head, remembering what the tom had told her, Yewpaw bounced away. A little bit later she came back with a rabbit.
"Good catch." Oceanmask purred. She scented the air and caught the faint scent of the fox that was on their territory earlier.

"Yes, good job, Yewpaw." Thistlewhisker meowed after the deputy. He scented the air hoping to find his own prey. He picked up the light scent of fox on his SCENT glands. "Fox?" he mewed, a bit alarmed.

"Don't worry," Oceanmask responded, "Grasswhistle chased it out this morning. It went to RiverClan territory, and we have already warned them."
She hoped that Kestrelpaw had really reported back to Wishingstar, because she totally didn't do that.

"It was pretty amazing," Oceanmask laughed, "You should have seen him! That fox would have seriously hurt me if he hadn't jumped on it. It scared the fox so much that it went running!"
Oceanmask stopped talking when she saw a rabbit in the distance. The stupid creature was running right toward them! Oceanmask went running at it and quickly caught it. She drug it back to the other cats.

Grasswhistle chased off a fox all by himself? His brother was pretty kick ass! I wonder who would die off if there was an epic plague. Thistlewhisker thought to himself. When Oceanmask caught the rabbit, he snapped back to reality. "Great catch!"

"Thank you." Oceanmask purred, "We need as much prey as we can get right now. Leafbare is coming soon."
Crystal thinks that Oceanmask and Grasswhistle should fall in love, then he dies and Thistlewhisker steps in like "Hey, its alright." and then they make passionate love on the beach. And Grasswhistle, who is much cooler than Thistlewhisker, can talk to Oceanmask in her dreams when she becomes leader and whatnot.

"Yes, I suppose the sensible prey won't be leaving their dens soon enough." Thistlewhisker said, looking up at the sky. The wind carried the faint chill of Leaffall which would quickly be followed by the frost of Leafbare.

Oceanmask looked around to realize that Yewpaw had disappeared. She had left her rabbit sitting though, and Oceanmask set her rabbit down on the small little pile.
"Where's Yewpaw?" she asked, but before she could get an answer Yewpaw came running back over with another rabbit.

"You're doing very good today, Yewpaw!" Thistlewhisker mewed and then felt pretty stupid when he realized he was the only person who hadn't caught anything. He ran off not too far away and spotted a rabbit just sitting there, his back to Thistlewhisker. The tom crept up on the rabbit and made a massive leap for it. He landed neatly on top of the creature, bit it's neck and dragged the body back to Yewpaw and Oceanmask.
