Brokensoul couldn't help but laugh at the shecat's comment. "I surely would never want to meet you in battle." he purred. He really wouldn't know what to do if he did ever have to fight her, but he didn't want to think about it. His comment was made for amusement and to compliment her at the same time.
He licked his forepaw, then muttered, "Maybe I should get going. I don't want any of my clanmates to worry."

Sparrowsong hid her disappointment. The time that she spoke to him always seemed to end much too quickly. "Alright then." she said, standing up on all for of her paws again. She waited for him to leave first. She wasn't going to end the meeting quicker than he could leave. She wanted to keep it going as long as possible.

Brokensoul stood up, but was hesitant to leave. He didn't want to, but knew it was for the best. He didn't want Addertail or Tigerfire to follow him again. Or even worse, Stormshadow or Cinderstar! Brokensoul scented the air, made sure no other cat was there, then rubbed his muzzle against Sparrowsong's. "Goodbye." he purred quietly, then turned and padded away through the marshland.

Everything in Sparrowsong told her to follow the tom into ShadowClan territory, so that they could talk more. Except for the part of her that was screaming the warrior code, desperately trying to make her come to her senses. But she didn't want to come to her senses. She liked the feeling that she got while speaking to Brokensoul. She wasn't going to do anything to stop it from happening. Slowly, she padded away from her spot at the boundary and back to her camp.

The next day, Brokensoul took the night patrol once again. He hurried through the RiverClan border so that he could make it to ThunderClan's. He sat there and waited for Sparrowsong, his tail swishing back and forth as he did.

Sparrowsong was lost in her thoughts as she made her way through her territory to the ShadowClan border. When she got there, she was excited to see Brokensoul again. Her heart raced in her chest and she instantly started purring. "Hello, Brokensoul." she greeted him.

"Hello." the tom responded, happy to see Sparrowsong once again. It made him even more happy, though, to hear how excited she was to see him.
"What have you been doing today?" he asked, just to make conversation. He wasn't really sure what else to say that little social reject.

Sparrowsong had a total de ja vu moment. This was exactly what had happened last night. Except, today she hadn't really done much of anything. She shrugged again, "Nothing really. But today had dragged on for what seemed like moons!" she complained. She had been so excited to speak to Brokensoul tonight.

Brokensoul laughed and responded, "I agree. I wish you were in ShadowClan with me." He knew that his clanmates would never accept her though. And he would never want to live in a weak clan like ThunderClan.

"Yes," Sparrowsong purred lightly, "life would be more amusing." she mewed. She only really talked to her sister very much in her own Clan. But she still hadn't told Robinwing about the nightly meetings with Brokensoul...

"If my Clanmates could accept you, would you come back to ShadowClan with me?" Brokensoul asked suddenly. He wouldn't know how to talk to Cinderstar about such a thing, but if he could somehow love Sparrowsong yet still be loyal to his Clan, that would be amazing.

Sparrowsong was pretty surprised about the question. First of all, she totally didn't see it coming. Second of all, she couldn't tell if he was serious or not. So she had no idea what to say. She couldn't imagine living a life outside of ThunderClan. And what about Robinwing? She'd feel terrible about leaving her sister all alone. But she could see her sister at gatherings, and she felt like her Clan didn't really like her too much anyways... "I'm doubtful ShadowClan would accept a ThunderClan cat to join them." she responded.

"That didn't answer my question." Brokensoul responded. He knew that she was right, but he could think about getting CInderstar to accept. Something told him that she didn't want to give up her Clan for him. He didn't blame her.

Sparrowsong thought about the question for a good looong while. She thought about everything she'd be leaving behind. It wasn't a lot, past her sister... but still. It was the life she had known since she was a tumbling kit in the nursery. Then she thought about what she would gain. Brokensoul. Eventually, she shrugged her shoulders and looked into Brokensoul's green ORBS, "If they'd accept me... I guess." she said slowly, still not sure if he was joking. She'd look foolish if he was.

Brokensoul just nodded his head. He could tell she wasn't excited at the thought. He also didn't know if she was just saying that to appease him, or if she was being serious. He just inwardly sighed and realized that he would find out if the time ever came.
He twitched his tail, then decided to change the subject. "Poisonkit and Duskkit are going to be apprentices soon. I hope I get to mentor one of them."
