Dustcloud rushed across camp into Rowanblaze's den. "Rowanblaze! Cloudpool is having her kits! Come to the nursery right now! Hurry!" she freaked out and ran back to the nursery, where Cloudpool was in LABOR.

[amaterasu]

Rowanblaze inwardly laughed at Dustcloud being so worried. It was nothing to worry about.

"Briarpaw, come on." he called, grabbing a few herbs, "Cloudpool is kitting."

The brown and white tom headed into the nursery. He set the herbs down in front of Cloudpool, meowed, "Eat those," and put his paw on her belly.

Briarpaw secretly grabbed a bit of marigold along with the other herbs they'd need for the kitting. Like borage leaves. I think.

Cloudpool obediently ate the herbs that Rowanblaze had brought for her. She was having kits. Isn't that neat?

[amaterasu]

"We don't need that marigold, Briarpaw! It doesn't cure everything!" Rowanblaze snapped at his apprentice. He sighed, then mewed, "I'm sorry. Now put your paw here next to mine. Can you feel the kits heartbeats? Can you tell how many she's having?"

[J I N G O]

Briarpaw was sad that Rowanblaze snapped at her for the marigold. "Woops! How'd that get in there?" It wasn't her fault that she was terribly addicted. But she obeyed her mentor and put her paw next to his. After a few moments she said aloud, "Four."

[amaterasu]

"Good jopb, Briarpaw! That makes up for the marigold." Rowanblaze laughed.

In a more serious note, he said to Cloudpool, "You're doing fine. The kits seem to be coming alright. Just push."

[J I N G O]

Cloudpool PUSHED.

[amaterasu]

Crystal was so proud of that post.

"Here's two of them!" Rowanblaze said, pushing two kits toward Sunblaze, "Lick their fur the wrong way to warm them up, Briarpaw."

Briarpaw did as she was told and licked the kits so that their fur would be going the obnoxious way.

[amaterasu]

Rowanblaze took the last two kits when they were born and rubbed their fur the obnoxious way. He pushed all four of the kits to their mother's belly and mewed, "You have three toms and a shekit, Cloudpool!"

[J I N G O]

Cloudpool erupted into purrs at the sight of her new kits. "Look at them! They're so beautiful!" she purred proudly.

Dustcloud purred at the sight of the new kits as well. "What will you name them?"

Cloudpool looked over her kits. The first one was a black tom with grey patches, "Tumblekit..." she said running her eyes over him, then looking at the next one, a very light grey one, "Thistlekit..." then she moved to the last two, the small white she-kit "Littlekit, and Blackkit." she finished up.

[amaterasu]

"Cloudpool! Your kits are beautiful! I can't wait until I have mine!" Lightbreeze purred.

"Good job Cloudpool! You have 4 healthy kits." Rowanblaze purred.

[J I N G O]

Cloudpool purred at both of the comments. "Thank you, Lightbreeze. I'm sure your kits will be beautiful as well!" then turned to Rowanblaze, "Thank you, Rowanblaze. And you too, Briarpaw."

Sunblaze and Fawnstep got closer to Cloudpool and her kits. "Yes, they look amazing, Cloudpool! I'm so jealous." Sunblaze exploded. "I hope my kits are that beautiful. If they're anything like their father, I know they'll look amazing though!"

Briarpaw shied away. She hadn't done much besides lick the kits fur the obnoxious way. "No problem. Rowanblaze did most the work, anyways."

[amaterasu]

Rowanblaze laughed and said, "Well, We'd better get going. I'll send Briarpaw in later with some borage leaves." He exited the nursery.

"I know my kits will be beautiful. They'll be just like their father." Lightbreeze purred.

[J I N G O]

"Who is the father?" Cloudpool asked, giving her kits small licks.

"Flameshadow!" Sunblaze erupted before Lightbreeze could respond.
